Preface
This book contains a translation of the New Testament into the Bukiyip language (central dialect). This language is also known as Mountain Arapesh. It is spoken by approximately 5,000 people living on the southern slopes of the Prince Alexander Mountains between Yangoru and Maprik in the East Sepik Province of Papua New Guinea. The Bukiyip language preface explains the details of Greek textual differences, cross references, verse identification, book abbreviations, etc. We give public thanks to God for the many prayers and gifts of many of His people who have helped in the production of this book. In particular we thank Him for The Bible League, South Holland, Illinois, USA, who have graciously underwritten the cost of this edition. We hope and pray that this book will be used by the Spirit of God to lead many of the Bukiyip people to faith in Christ and to build up those who are already Christians. We dedicate this book to God, whose continual presence and gracious enabling at each step has made it possible, and desire that it may glorify Him.
